We westerners have the luxury (and pit...Yes and no. We westerners have the luxury (and pitfall) of a modern rationalist mindset. We say 'what a bunch of garbage,' and then we're done with it; for us it isn't necessarily an existential choice. But for our brothers and sisters here, to say 'no' does not mean dismissing it as nonsense, it means rejecting one lordship in favour of another (both of which are and remain very real.)
